Wave launches its first issue about Rio 2006

Brazilian Wave is proud to present a series of three special editions focusing exclusively on the 2016 Rio Olympic and Paralympic games.

Each issue will have its own editorial touch:  Special Edition 1 -Travelling to Rio; Special Edition 2 – Olympic Highlights; and Special Edition 3 – Paralympic highlights. With those, we want to reach all: Canadians travelling to Rio, sports fans, and Brazilian residents and students in the greater Toronto area and elsewhere in Canada.

We open this Special Edition 1 with an interview with Sanjeev Chowdhury, Canada’s Consul-General in Rio de Janeiro, who welcomes all Canadians to the Olympic and Paralympic games in Rio. The Olympic games are around the corner, get to know more about the sports events and the challenges concerning Zika virus. We also share great tips on where to stay, where to eat, and what to do in the city. Read about an agreement that tightens ties between Rio and Toronto, as twin cities. Last but not least, we want to know more about our readers: go online and answer our survey. Win great prizes!

This is an exciting moment for Brazilian Wave and we would like to thank all our readers, subscribers and advertisers for your support. Special thanks go to Brazilian Wave Team and the Canadian Periodical Fund for making these three Special Editions happen.
